2. About the service

Kompete is an AI Business Operating System offering automated competitive intelligence, business memory, and weekly CEO briefs.

Plans: Free (€0), Starter (€49/month), and Pro (€79/month). Paid plans may show VAT or similar taxes at checkout where applicable.

3. Hosting and processors

This site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 Pine Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA, which may process technical data (for example IP address and access logs) as a processor. We use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

We also use the following subprocessors to operate Kompete:

• Clerk — authentication and account management
• Supabase — database and data storage
• OpenAI — AI processing for insights, briefs, and related features
• Stripe — payment processing for paid subscriptions
• Resend — transactional email delivery

4. Personal data we process

We may process the following categories of personal data:

• Name and email address
• Company and onboarding information you provide
• Competitor data and business context you submit to the service
• Business decisions, notes, and knowledge stored in your workspace
• Authentication data processed by Clerk (for example user ID, session metadata)
• Billing identifiers from Stripe for paid plans
• Technical and usage data from the site and APIs
• Communications you send us (for example support emails)

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Purposes and legal bases (GDPR)

• Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): providing the Kompete service, managing your account, generating briefs and insights, and related transactional communications.
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): security, abuse prevention, service reliability, and product improvement in a privacy-respecting manner.
• Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): tax, accounting, and regulatory compliance where required.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): where we ask for optional cookies or marketing beyond the core service.

6. Retention

We retain personal data while your account is active and for up to 30 days after account deletion, unless a longer period is required by law (for example tax or accounting obligations). After that period, we delete or anonymise data in line with our internal schedules.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in the EU/EEA. To exercise your rights, email hello@stackedge.ai.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for core site functionality, security, analytics (where you consent), and payment flows. Cookie preferences are managed via our Axeptio consent banner where configured. For details about third-party cookies on payment pages, see Stripe's privacy notice.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

This policy is provided in English for clarity. Where mandatory consumer law applies in your country of residence, it shall prevail. For matters relating to this policy and the service, Spanish law applies and the courts of Barcelona have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory rights you may have elsewhere.
